Meet Our Team

Tyler B – Tyler is a 8th grader at Elgin Academy. He is a programmer and leads the team’s marketing, website and social media. In his free time, he enjoys taking classes through ID Tech, playing the drums and gaming with his friends. He hopes to pursue a career in computer science and work at Disney World as an imagineer.

Yash D – I am a senior this year who attends Dundee Crown/Jacobs High School. I specialize in robot design and build, but dabble in programming as well. Outside of robotics, I play golf and lacrosse. Over the summer I caddie at a local country club, and enjoy many forms of art in my free time. I plan to go to college to study Biomedical Engineering and hope to make breakthroughs from this unique interdisciplinary approach.

Jake S – Jake is a sophomore who attends Johnsburg High School. Jake specializes in building and also does CAD. In his free time, he plays hockey and runs track. Jake participates in Skills USA, which is small engine re-building program where he won the regional competition. Jake plans to pursue a career in engineering following the footsteps of his dad.

Alex B – Alex is a junior who attends Elgin Academy. He specializes as a builder. He also likes to CAD and leads the team’s analytics and scouting processes. In his free time, he plays hockey and golf. Alex wants to pursue a career in analytics and hopes to attend Michigan State University.

Jake M – Jake is a senior at Barrington High School. He specializes in all aspects of robotics. He has developed exceptional skills in designing, building, programing, 3-D printing, CAD and many other areas. Jake plans to pursue a computer science degree and hopes to attend MIT or the University of Illinois next year .

Johnathan V – Johnathon is a junior who attends Elgin Academy. He specializes in programing and is also learning to build. In his free time, he plays golf and is on the school scholastic team. Johnathan wants to pursue a degree in computer science and hopes to attend Purdue University.
